Whozon is available in two forms: the online web dashboard you sign into at whozon.ca, and Whozon Desktop, a downloadable desktop app. Both use the same Twitch account and cover the same core moderation workflow, but they are built differently under the hood, and that leads to some real differences worth knowing before you pick one.
The web version runs entirely in your browser. It needs no install, works instantly on any device with a browser, and stays up to date automatically since there is nothing to download. Because it depends on the browser tab staying open and active, it can be more exposed to your browser or OS throttling background tabs during long streams, especially if the tab is minimized or backgrounded for extended periods. However it will run on a tablet like an iPad for instance. It will run on your phone although thats a pretty small screen to cram all this data into.
Whozon Desktop is a native desktop app for Windows, macOS, and Linux. It connects directly to Twitch for chat and moderation events instead of relying on a browser tab staying alive, which makes it noticeably more stable for long streaming sessions. It includes its own chat display, Text to Speech, and moderation tools, and checks for and installs updates automatically.
If you want zero setup and occasional or short-session use, the online dashboard is the simplest option. If you stream for long stretches and want the most stable, dedicated experience, Whozon Desktop is the recommended choice. You are not locked into one or the other: both use the same Twitch account, so you can try either at any time.
