ABOUT WHOZON

Program and Creator

This page gives a short overview of the project and the creator behind Whozon.

About the Program

This application has been written in PHP and is hosted on a shared server at Canadian Webhosting. They have been a fantastic and efficient webhost for my projects for years and I recommend them if. you need similar services.

Now to forestall several anticipated questions from people. Most of the code used in this project has been written by me personally and has existed in several forms and been revised multiple times. This version is the first to offer all of the features that I have wanted to have in the application. I freely admit that I have used Github-Copilot to help me engineer some aspects of the program and to look for security vulnerabilities to ensure we avoid weaknesses. Github-Copilot has been quite effective in this regard, but most of the code used here was created and written by me.This is not a vibe-coded security monstrosity whipped up in an afternoon believe me.

Oh and to be clear, no aspect of Whozon Dashboard is using AI in any capacity during its operations. It is not reading your chat or recording your chat with the exception of Text To Speech which does read every message posted to your chat so it can convert it to TTS, but only if you have enabled TTS. Whozon does not post to your chat for any reason at the moment. It is possible that it might do so in the future, but I have not thought of a single instance where that would be useful in any capacity. I want to have as minimal an impact on your chat as is possible for the operation of the software.

Why is it a webapp and not a real program, well there are a few key reasons:

About the Creator: ThatFontGuy

I am a hobby streamer having been streaming on Twitch since the Covid pandemic hit us. I primarily stream two very niche games - Dark Age of Camelot (on various freeshards and on the live Gaheris server) and City of Heroes (on the officially approved Homecoming servers).
I have had a variety of careers, from serving in the Canadian Special Service Force as a radio operator, to researching data for documentary films, working on a few PC game titles, being a construction worker, working in a variety of stores as a sales clerk, working as a web developer, being a Webmaster (when that was an actual position), Q&A for software development, Tech Support, you name it. Computers have always been my balliwick and Whozon Dashboard is my latest passion project.
